MySQL servers routinely process hundreds of thousands of transactions per second on busy web properties. Analyzing those transactions is a different matter: For that, you need an analytic database like ClickHouse with column storage, efficient data compression, and parallel query. In this talk, we'll show how to set up a Kubernetes-based analytic service based on Debezium, Kafka, and ClickHouse. We'll discuss management options for each component, and also discuss options to represent transactional data in ClickHouse. All components are open source and the pipeline can run on any Kubernetes implementation.
